8″ Clay Donegal Woman by Jay’s of Dublin, Ireland. I purchased the doll in 1974 from Kimport Dolls. The doll came with the following information: “The women from Donegal wore gay coloured blouse, homespun skirt, white apron, and long black shawl. Their menfolk usually migrated to England or Scotland for the harvesting season and the women had to look after their household and any land they had. The doll is handmade in Ireland.”
