8″ Clay Man from Donegal by Jay Dolls of Dublin, Ireland. The doll came with the following information: “He usually left home for harvesting seasons in England or Scotland and consequently wore the more conventional dress associated with other rural parts of Ireland. This was usually the homespun coat and trousers and tweed peaked cap. The doll was handmade in Ireland.” I purchased the doll in 1973 at the Marshall Fields Department Store in Downtown Chicago, Illinois.
