10″ Composition Georgian Costume Dolls. The dolls were made in Germany but dressed in English Costumes. The previous owner penned a note with the following information:”Eleanor bought these dolls at Hamleys of London on her first trip abroad in June, 1938. Hamley’s is the largest toy store in the world. These dolls represent the period of King George III-England 1750’s. This is the colonial style of dressd worn in the American Colonies.” I purchased the dolls in 1998 at the Doll Haven in Youngstown, Arizona.
