18″ Porcelain Diana Princess of Wales by Titus Tomescu. The doll is the first in a series of Diana Dolls created by Mr. Tomescu for Ashton Drake Galleries.
The doll came with the following information:” Diana Princess of Wales is a beautiful interpretation by Master Sculptor, Titus Tomescu. The doll features the Victor Edelstein midnight-blue velvet gown Diana wore in 1985 to the State Dinner hosted by the Reagans, which was a memorable evening at the American White House, where she would dance with John Travolta. She would wear the gown again on a trip to Germany in December 1987 and to the movie premiere of “Wallstreet” in April of 1988. The gown would later be part of a large selection of her dresses which were auctioned for charity. The original gown would fetch the highest price among all her dresses for an amazing $222,500.”
