18″ Porcelain Diana Emissary of Compassion. Diana is shown in one of her favorite Edelstien favorites-his fuchsia-pink silk evening gown with its inverted wrap-over front. The dress from the back shows the cowled draped back, falling onto a long skirt that fans into a tailed, mermaiden hemline. This ’30s-inspired evening dress was first worn in Japan in November 1989, and again in London at a dinner for the charity Help The Hospice.
I purchased this edition of Diana in 1999 from Aston Drake Galleries.
