12″ & 11″ Wood & Cloth African Couple by Deborah Mickles . The Couple came with the following information: “Deborah Mickles, a South Jersey resident, is a full-time employee of Bell Atlantic. One of her hobbies is African doll making. She unveiled her affordable line of African dolls in 1993. Her dolls have been displaced at conferences and Black History Commemorations. Deborah will demonstrate the “draping” technique of the clothes and the wrapping of the head piece on her dolls. She chose this step because it’s the most creative and original process in her doll’s completion. Her mother, Lorraine Johnson and her sister, Mabel Harmon, will assist her.”
