Ashton Drake provide the following information on Ms. Hanl:” Waltraud Hanl is an emerging doll artist who is making her mark on the worldwide doll community with her amazingly lifelike baby dolls. She is inspired by real-life newborns and infants, and has an uncanny ability to capture not only their adorable features, but also their individual personalities. Of her work, the artist says:
‘For me, bringing dolls to ‘life’ is a dream fulfilled. With my baby dolls. I get a real thrill out of creating little ‘people’ at the very beginning of their lives, with all their hopes and dreams ahead of them.’ “
The doll was purchased in 2005 directly from Ashton Drake.
