Aran Fisherman & His Donkey

Irish man & Donkey-Irish man & Donkey Side-8 1/2″ Cloth and Clay Fisherman and His Donkey by Jay Dolls of Dublin. The doll came with the following information: “Being a seafaring man he wore clothes of heavy homespun. The crios was worn below the waist to give him support when rowing. His footwear or pampooties were especially made to withstand the rough rocks. He wore the usual broad-rimmed hat or beret associated with fisherman.” He and his donkey are carrying a load of peat back to his home. I purchased the doll in 2009 from a seller in Huntington Beach, California.
