12″ Plastic Irkulski Russian Girl. (Irkutsk is the sixth largest city in Siberia. It is located in Eastern Siberia, on the banks of the Angara River, at the confluence with the Irkut River (hence the name of the city), 66 km to the west of Lake Baikal, and 5,200 km to the east of Moscow. The city was founded in 1661 and would serve as a center for the gold and fur trade. It would also become a place of exile for military leaders and nobles who would run afoul of the Russian tsar.)
The doll’s original owner purchased her at an Intourist Hotel in Irkulski, Siberia, Russia in 1985. I purchased the doll in 1986 at the Houston,Texas Doll Show.
