13′ Cloth Doll by Fabric Artist Joyce Patterson. The doll is a one of a kind, that was made in 2002 and titled: “Just A Minute, Dearie”. When I asked Joyce about the inspiration for this doll she told me it is based on her mother who was also a fabric artist. I purchased the doll directly from Joyce in 2014 and the doll included the following additional information:
“These original, one of a kind creations are signed and dated by Joyce. Patterson is a member of the Original Doll Artist Council of America (ODACA), the Professional Doll Makers Art Guild, the Texas Association of Original Doll Artists, and the United Federation of Doll Clubs (UFDC). Joyce Patterson’s delightful “little people” have gained national and international recognition and will no doubt continue to be sought after by collectors for years to come.”( Joyce can be contacted at www.joycepatterson.com)
The Yo-Yo Quilt was added 03-15-15. I special ordered the quilt from Joyce after I saw one of her dolls on her website had one. I had wanted a full size one and my dear Aunt Betty had always promised to try and make one for me. Unfortunately, she was never able to get one made. So now I have a mini Yo-Yo Quilt instead!
