13″ Vinyl Pipi of France from the Lolly Pop Collection by Jan McLean. I purchased the doll in 2002 on-line from the Doll Market. The collection includes: a doll from Germany, California, France, Barbados, England, and Australia. Ms. McLean released the dolls in 2002 and they were distributed by Unimax Toys Limited. The company had the dolls manufactured in Hong Kong.
This particular doll is Pipi from France. Her story is as follows: Parisian by name and Parisian by nature. Everything about Pipi says style. Jan McLean began making dolls in 1986 in Dunedin, New Zealand and would gain international recognition for her dolls after exhibiting her designs at the New York Toy Fair in 1991.
