Maryanne Oldenberg Information

Ashton Drake provided information on all their artists. On Ms. Oldenberg they provided the following information about her and her “Andy”:

“Maryanne Oldenberg has been creating her own original dolls from images of real children since 1973. She has won hundreds of awards, including more than sixty blue ribbons and one “Silver Cup” Best of Show from the International Doll Maker’s Association.

Ms. Oldenberg maintains a high profile in her profession as Second Vice President of the Original Doll Artist Council of America (O.D.A.C.A.), a teacher of sculpting and dollmaking, and a competition judge.

“Andy’s modest dream of becoming a railroad engineer echoes back to a simpler time,” says Ms. Oldenberg. “Now, collectors can step back from our fast-paced society and experience another era through the innocent, imaginative eyes of a child.”
