Mexican Basket Seller

Mexican Woman with Woven baskets-Mexican Woman with Woven Baskets Side12″ Clay Basket Seller. The doll originally belonged to Dr. & Mrs. Wallace F. Mustious . They purchased the doll in the 1940’s while on one of their many trips abroad. The doll along with others had been stored in a closet for over twenty years. After their passing the collection was not wanted by any of the grandchildren, so they were sold in an estate sale. This doll came with the following information: ” I am a Mexican Indian from near Mexico City. I am dressed in my market clothes. I weave baskets by hand and sell them to tourist.” I purchased the doll in 2007 from a seller in Hardyville, Virginia.
