16″ Vinyl Princess Diana in Her Wedding Gown. Some interesting facts about the real dress is that it contained 10,000 pearls and mother of pearls sequins. Diana borrowed lace for the dress that dated back to Queen Mary (1867 to 1953) and the dressmakers sewed a small gold diamond encrusted horse shoe into her dress for luck. Diana’s tiara was borrowed from the Spencer family and her wedding ring contained Welsh gold, a tradition started back in 1923 by the late queen mother, Elizabeth.
I purchased the doll in 2000 from the Franklin Mint.
