16″ 1970’s Seated Iranian Wax Woman. The seller of the doll states that the doll originally belonged to Jafar Noorani, a bodyguard of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the last Shah of Iran. Mr. Noorani handled the Shah’s personal affairs during the Shah visit to the city of Mashad. The Shah gave him the doll as as gift. Mr. Noorani would later move to the United States and bring along a number of his gifts he received from the Shah. I purchased the doll in 2009 from the seller who was from Anaheim, California.
