8 1/2″ Clay Highland Character Doll by Sheena Maclead. The doll represents a crofter. The following information was included with the doll: ” The crofter is an tenant of an area of land to which he had absolute tenure. The crofter was highly independent, tending his sheep and cattle on the hills, digging his peat, often weaving his cloth, fishing the shore water and working his potato patch. He represented a God fearing and cultured breed.” The dolls are produced by the Design Center of London.
