19 1/2″ Porcelain Summer Dream by Sandra Bilott from her She Walks In Beauty Collection. The doll came with the following information from Ashton Drake Galleries:
” On an afternoon in mid-July, this glowing bride leaves her wedding ceremony trailing ribbons and roses. Summer Dream is a dramatic porcelain portrait by Sandra Billotto, softly hand-painted and magnificently costumed.
She knows who she is and where she’s going. Even when she met her future husband, it was love at first sight. Now, just moments after marrying her one and only, she radiates self-confidence; she glows like the bright summer sun. Daring to be different and utterly modern, she selects a sophisticated gown in bridal white chiffon. An off-the-shoulder, sweetheart neckline frames her genteel face, while a skirt of many layers rustles like the August breeze. The pale blue, sateen sash, tied in an oversized back-bow, is embellished with streamers and silken roses. The same flower creates her bouquet. And in her hair, a rose decorated backpiece holds the most fashionable fly-away veil. While outdoor temperatures soar, this lovely summer bride remains cool, letting the day’s romance fill her heart with joy.”
The doll was released in 1997 by the Ashton Drake Doll Company and I would purchase her in 2001.
