In 1904 the series was extended to include a group of character dolls. As part of these series, Tennis Lady: Betty, a 45 cm. with fashionable sports costume was developed in 1913 and is being reproduced in 1986 through 1987. This doll is a limited edition replica of 3000 pieces and is handcrafted with loving care of materials as close as possible to the original doll, which is shown at the Margarite Steiff Museum in Giengen an der Brenz, Germany. Made in West Germany.” I purchased the doll in 1979 at the Tuesday Morning Store in Houston, Texas.
