The Recording Years

frank-sinatarfrank-sinatra-side12″ Vinyl Frank Sinatra: The Recording Years. The doll is by Timeless Treasures, a collectible/specialty doll from a division of Mattel, Inc of El Segundo, California.

In the Collector’s Encyclopedia of Barbie the following description is given: “Celebrity Collection Frank Sinatra 2001 Frank Sinatra: The Recording Years depicts Frank Sinatra, who has been called “The Voice, The Legend, and The Greatest Entertainer of the Century,” with masterful head sculpting in Sinatra’s likeness. The singer was born in 1915 and became the beloved idol of the 1940’s, and his acting brought him an Academy Award in 1953. He wears a dashing pinstripe suit with a pocket handkerchief, a blue tie, and loafers, and he has a matching trademark hat. His music stand holds sheet music for ‘I’ve Got the World on a String.”

I purchased the doll in 2000 at Toys R Us.
