The female doll also wears a skirt made of pandanus leaves and wears a Hei-Tiki, a green stone fertile symbol, around her neck. The headbands and tops are woven in different designs to represent the different tribes. She also has poi balls ties on her cape. I purchased the male doll in 1973 from the Fordem Galleries in Cleveland, Ohio and the female I purchased from Kimport Dolls in 1974.
