9 1/2″ Resin Melania Trump’s Vision of Elegance Bride by the Hamilton Collection. The doll came with the following story:
” Long before the First Lady was making headlines for her elegant White House fashion, Melania Trump was turning heads on the runway and making history as she walked down the aisle on her wedding day.
Some would say that Melania’s passion for fashion is in her blood. Her mother, after all, was a clothing designer. At the age of five, a young Melania Knauss confidently took her first steps and never looked backed. In fact, this stunning Slovenian-born beauty began appearing in commercials when she was just 16 years old. After completing her studies, she launched her professional modeling career and worked for many well-known fashion houses throughout Paris and Milan…”
In 2005, Melania would marry real estate developer, Donald Trump. She would call upon renowned designer, John Galliano to create her one of a kind gown.
“Now celebrating the beautiful First Lady trend-setting style , The Hamilton Collection is presenting the limited addition “Melania Trump, Vision of Elegance Bride. ” The making of Melania’s original 2005 wedding gown would have: the input of 28 steamstresses, 300 feet of Duchesse satin , a 13 foot long satin train, 1,500+ crystals and pearls hand-stitched in swirl patterns, and a 16-foot tulle veil. The gown would take over 1,000 hours to make at a price tag of $100,000. “
This recreation was made with a real fabric tulle veil, a palette of glistening silver and white high -gloss pearlescent and metallic finishes. Finally the creation is completed with 40 sparkling Swarovski crystals.
I purchased the doll in 2020 directly from the Hamilton Collection.
